Will you quit a job you loved for a higher-paying one?
If you loved your job very much -- that is, enjoyed the job itself, the people you worked with, etc -- and it was very close to your home, but you didn't make quite as much money as you'd hoped, would you stick it out and wait to get a good raise, but find a part-time job in the meantime to make extra money, or would you quit to try to find a higher-paying job?

I work less than 5 miles from where I work, so I spend very little on gas each week, I can get to work in less than 10 minutes each day,and spend less on maintenance for my car at the same time. I absolutely love my job and the people I work with. Sound like the perfect job? It's not because it doesn't pay enough!

I know I have a couple promotions planned in the next few months, but I am not sure I will be making enough even after those promotions. Problem is that, while I have a great deal of experience in many fields, I have no degree. I am trying to stick it out for at least a few months to see if two raises improve anything, and I have gotten a PT job in the meantime, but what would YOU do in this situation?
