Keep up or give up?

Our campany have a Japan customer. As you know, it is very hard to cooperate with Japanese. We have been developing one kind of boot for them freely for almost one year, which is their design.They are strict on everything. During this time, We made samples again and again and spend a lot of time and money to develop it for him. Worse still, he ever said the quantity is 50000 pairs,but finally he told  me that they want us to make 1000 pairs for trial order first.  Ok, we accepted the quantity. But now,he said he would order 5 pairs exhibition samples before place the order and asked us to make them ASAP. My god.... I am tried of dealing with them. what should i do? Give up? But we have been developing it for almost one year. Keep up? But what if no order after the exhibition?  Could you pls give me some advice? Thanks!P9h8PM0zGC,[-w-xi&YJ

I think wether they will buy or not, you just do the best you can. You'd better treat each of your cusomers as new ones and make your effort to make them satisfied. Maybe some will N$rEBo5K$Q

I ever talked to him about this, but his answer is your factory made us imported so many wrong samples and we had to pay a lot of freight charge.( actually, they modified the design over and over. How can we make the right sample!)

keep up and control the profit . money is most important than  friendship

If the mould was ready, i think you can provide the sample to him for exhibtion and ask for the sample charge. If not, please tell your customer to place the order first, then you can start to arrange the exhibtion sample with free. If he willng to place, even the sample is not perfect than his design, you also can improve it before the mass product. If he insist to place order after received the sample, i think it is too risk for a new customer
