actually i dont know .. but my first boss is an Italian man .. we have a office in Ningbo , and we always purchase from China and sold to Italia... i remeber the client from Italia who always delay to pay balance to us .but i can not sure he is my boss's friend or just clients... so i can not sure about that...z*w]5n_"}N

Terms with our Iltaly honorable customer is l/c deffed payment at 30 days. During the past 4 years, coopertion is harmonious due to good quality and good credit.

the first, i think you shall care the credit bank, then make documents as per the LC without any diecrepancy.

Example in my country, We can pay the fee to our exim bank to check the credit of buyer's bank or we can buy the L/C Insurance also. The fee or insurance rate is not to high but safety. You should check the information if banks in your country can do or not.

generally speaking, L/C 30 days or L/C 60 days is favourite of italian, and most of time I require them to pay us some bank interest.
