:lol A friend in Columbia said the putonghua is mandarin.
:o First time,I couldn't understand. and I searched it on dictonary and knew they are the same meaning.:lol
h:lol e can speak a little cantonese. C'z his father is cantonese. but they can't speak mandarin. What a pity.
but I can speak mandarin fluently.:lol

Indeed,some of the overseas chinese cannot speak mandarin but can speak cantonese..

Maybe cuz cantonese is widely-spoken by ppl from Hongkong,and they help spread it to some dgree:loveliness: :loveliness:
