I totally agree with Jack's advises. Since he has come a long way, it would make a great impression to show him around the company. If you are at a manufacturing plant, ask one of the seniors in there to show him around (you will be his connection, so you should go along with the senior and the customer), and maybe also arrange a meeting with him and the company's management, developement management, production management etc. Involve so many of the "big bosses" in your company as possible - that is in the companies best interest.
