How could I prepare to India?

I will go to India to do business in water treatment equipment and other machine industry.
However, I haven't been to India before. So I don't know how to prepare.
what bank card is useful and easy in India?
How much cash can be brought with myself？
What about the weather in New Delhi， CALCUTTA and Mumbai？
and how could I book the hotel there?
what should I do before I lift off？
And what other thing need I do ? help, help, pls help me.

oh, the hotel  in india is very very expensive.You can use VISA card and the change rate is about 1:5.1.That means 1RMB=5.1 Rupee.But the goods is not so cheap in india!The weather in  Dehli is hot.Have a good trip in india

1) be prepared to arrive Mumbai at midnight as most international Flt from far east landed at wee hour, do ensure someone pick you up at air port
2) Business enterprises usually located at the other end of Mumbai which is very far from airport
3) do carry some rupee and USDbefore arrival, Visa and america express cards are commonly accepted only at 4 or 5 stars hotel.
4)do bring medicine for stomach discomfort
5) consume only bottled water
6) do not go out at night if not accompany by local
7) watch out traffic flow, look right before left as car driving position is difference from china

Hi Jejj ; No i am not but i do know many friends there and been there many time, therefore, hotel booking is not a problem
