how to explain to customer

situation: one customer purchase our machine, and asked our factory help him to find other raw material. Also after that he place the raw materail to us. Two different raw material, for one about 20000USD, another is 2000USD, our manager though he will bear more risk, so give up the big order and accept the order 2000USD.

Now while we sign the contract with the raw material factory, they arranged for production, and finished we have pay all value of the raw material. But while the raw material in our company, we found the raw material have problem, but that factory didn't give us any +X[W$u!S\#A

Should negotiate with your raw material supplier,make sure the qulity will be satisfied with your customer.

explain to your customers is useless at present, you should back the raw material to factory.Doon't lay your hope on the customer to accept the problem material.

now the raw material have shipped to there customer, but we also don't know, maybe wait the customer receive the products and tell him how to do.

In my opinion you should contact your raw material supllier, ask them to help you solve this problem.
