anyone can tell some tips for looking clients from free internet

Hi everyone, I'm a new hand in the line of international trade, and exporting oil equipment mainly exporting tubular good conforming to API standard. Recently we only can look for client from free internet website. now i register some free B to B sites but i find it just like blind-searching. so i need all of your help.
